New York City-based Pontefiores is the latest company to be acquired by Facebook.
The social network announced its acquisition of the web development firm in a statement Friday.
It’s the latest move by the company to diversify its offerings, including the purchase of LinkedIn and a stake in Tumblr.
“The acquisition of Pontefractor shows us how our strategy and investments will help us better meet our customers’ needs,” Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.
“As a social media company, we are continually evolving our products and offering more ways for people to connect with each other and share content.”
The acquisition was first reported by VentureBeat.
Facebook is also acquiring web developer mikebakke.
