Google is reportedly planning to spend $20bn on a new search engine that will be the largest in the world by revenue.
The acquisition, which Google confirmed on Tuesday, will allow the search giant to dominate the world for a decade.
The acquisition is reportedly worth $1.1bn, according to Reuters, which reported earlier this week that Google will be able to offer search results to more than 100 million people worldwide.
The search giant, which is owned by Yahoo, has already started to build out its search technology, with plans to offer its own search engine for desktop, mobile and the web.
But Google has been looking to build up its own internet business.
In April this year, it said it would invest $1bn to buy a stake in a cloud-based software company called Nextcloud.
