A senior web developer has launched a new startup, Homeless Student Home, which he says will help the homeless create a home in their local area.
“We’ve had people in our city for years and years who are homeless, and the problem is, they are living in our community,” said Mr Jones.
“I think there are a lot of homeless people out there who are living on the streets who are really creative and who can make a home.” “
Mr Jones says he was inspired by the idea of “homes for the homeless” when he was growing up in South Australia. “

Mr Jones says he was inspired by the idea of “homes for the homeless” when he was growing up in South Australia.
“There were some really good stories out there about kids being housed in the backyard or in the bush, but there was no place where you could have a family, and if you could get a house you could afford to buy one, so there were a lot more kids in the woods,” he said.
Mr Jones said the homeless had a lot to offer the industry.
“You know what?
We’re not the only people that need housing, but I think it’s something that we can all learn from,” he added.
Mr Lee, who started the company in the past year, said it was about the people who were homeless that had the most to offer.
“The homeless have a lot in common with us and are very creative and can make an incredible home, and I think that’s what they’re really looking for,” he told ABC News Breakfast.
“So we really want to get the homeless on board with what we do and make sure that it’s actually the best thing for them and that it helps them move forward and live a happy life.”
Mr Lee said Homeless Student Homes would be able to provide them with a roof, plumbing, heating and a kitchen.
“It’s not about being a ‘humble’ company, we’re very professional and we’re here to help,” he explained.
“But we’ve also got a team of contractors and a bunch of our own engineers who can do the whole deal, and we’ll be putting the money towards the roof.”
The project is in its early stages and the students are yet to decide how much they will receive in return.
But Mr Jones believes the project is worth the risk.
“These people are living a lot harder than you might think,” he noted.
“All the people that I’ve been working with over the years have been incredibly dedicated to it, they’ve been doing it for decades, they’re a really amazing group of people.” “
Homeless Student Houses founder Luke Lee has worked in the hospitality industry for 18 years, and was inspired to start Homeless Student House by his own experience of homelessness. “

“My own family and I have been living on a bus for 13 years, it was a lot different, we lived in the city for a long time,” he recalled.
“For the first couple of years, I was working for the local authorities, but eventually we had to move on, so I got out of that and went back to my old life.”
Homeless students often live on the street and are often forced to stay in a room or in a tent during the summer months.
Mr Smith said there were many benefits to the homeless.
“When you’ve got people living in a community, you have a much better chance of having a positive impact on the community, because when you’re able to have a roof up, you can do your homework, you’re learning about your neighbours, you are making decisions and you’re thinking about your future,” he observed.
“This is a really good opportunity for young people to really get involved in their communities.”
